[origin: WO0169630A1] The invention relates to a release device for a power circuit breaker (1) which has contacts (20) that are arranged in a housing and can be separated by actuating a release shaft (2) of a switching-off device. A blow-out channel (6) that is allocated to the contacts is configured in the housing. A lever (10) that is rotatably mounted on the housing engages with the release shaft (2) and has a baffle surface (14) which is allocated to the blow-out channel (6) and displaces the lever (10) after a pressure impact has occurred in the blow-out channel (6), for actuating the release shaft (2).
