[origin: WO0169900A1] The invention relates to a method for verifying a person who receives a first telephone call (3) as the first caller (2). One or several biometrical characteristics (1) of the first caller (2) are detected during the first telephone call (3). The detected first parameters (1) are stored in a data storage device (8). At least one biometrical characteristic (18) of the group of the characteristics (1) that have been detected during the first telephone call (3) is subsequently detected during a second telephone call (16) of the first or a second caller (2, 15). The second parameters (18) that have been detected during the second telephone call (16) are compared with the first parameters (1) that are stored in the data storage device (8) and an optionally present deviation is detected.
