Abstract (en)
To monitor the weft insertion action, at a shuttle less loom, the free end (7a) of the weft yarn length (7) is deflected pneumatically from the insertion plane into another plane, where its presence is registered by the detector of an initial weft yarn monitor (3). The weaving action at the loom is interrupted by an electrical signal, or continues without a break according to the readings of the weft monitor. A second monitor registers whether the correct weft length has passed through.

Schussfäden, deren freies auszugseitiges Ende nach deren Eintragen in den Eintragskanal eines Webblattes durch eine Schlinge (9) gebildet ist, müssen vom Einweben in das Gewebe ausgeschlossen sein. Erfindungsgemäß wird dies in vorteilhafterweise dadurch erreicht, dass das freie Ende (7a) der vorbestimmten Länge eines Schussfadens (7) in an sich bekannter Weise aus der Ebene des Schussfadeneintrags pneumatisch in eine andere Ebene gelenkt wird und in der anderen Ebene das Vorliegen oder Fehlen des Endes der vorbestimmten Länge von einem ersten Schussfadenwächter (3) detektiert wird und in Abhängigkeit von der Detektion der Webprozess unterbrochen oder fortgesetzt wird. <IMAGE>
