[origin: EP1267004A2] The unit to divide water flows, at a water pipe, has a pot-shaped housing with the let-off valve (108) and the backflow barrier (104), as a cartridge which can be inserted into the housing (90) of the pipe divider, and removed as a component. It has an inlet (94) for the drinking water and an outlet (96) for the heating water. A ring membrane (170) is clamped between the edge of the pot housing and a pressure piece (174) at the housing cap (102), with side passage openings (176) as a flow link with the drinking water inlet.
