[origin: WO0174452A2] The invention relates to a method for suppressing developing explosions, especially in containers or rooms that contain dry bulks or gases that are liable to explode. The inventive method uses a gas generator which pressurizes gas that forces the extinguishing agents, once a maximum pressure is reached, from its container as one entity and distributes it in the form of an extinguishing agent cloud that spreads laterally and forwards, filling the container or room.
