Abstract (en)

[origin: WO0174655A1] The present invention relates to a method at attaching a floatable device (8) to a hoisting member (1) and, respectively, releasing the device from said member, wherein a point (10) at said hoisting member (1) is brought by means of separate floating means (11) into such a position in relation to the floatable device (8) that a connecting secondary hoisting member (1c) can be attached with a slack. The present invention further relates to a method for releasably connecting a floatable device (8) to a hoisting member (1), wherein said floatable device (8) and separately provided floating means (11) are maintained in a mutually generally horizontally centered disposition in order to achieve said slack. The present invention further relates to an arrangement provided with a hoisting member (1) for hoisting and, respectively, lowering a floatable device (8). The arrangement comprises floating means (11) which float as such and act on a point (10) at the hoisting members (1), as well as flexible interconnecting members (1c) for engagement between said point (10) and said floatable device (8).
