[origin: WO0171145A1] A device for securing, in upper and lower edges, a window or wall element in an opening in a building. The opening is upwardly defined by a top bar (1) and downwardly defined by a bottom bar (2). The window or wall element has an upper and a lower edge profile (4) in which a panel-shaped element (3), such as a glass pane, is secured. The upper edge portion of the upper edge profile (4) is insertible in an upper mounting profile (9) which is secured in the building. The mounting profile (9) has a downwardly open accommodation space (14). The lower edge profile (4) is securable against an upwardly directed flange (22), a lower mounting profile (11).
