[origin: WO0177537A1] The invention relates to a mounting device for mounting a structural component (1) on a mounting plate (2). Said mounting device is an elastic ring (3) whose inner side is provided with a peripheral surface structure and which is provided with two axial holes (4) for mounting on the mounting plate (2). Said ring is provided with a radial slot (7) separating two terminal sections (5, 6) and with means for tensioning the ring (3) around the structural component (1). The invention further relates to a mounting system that comprises such a mounting device. The invention also relates to the use of said mounting device for mounting cylindrical structural components (1) on a mounting plate. The invention is especially useful for mounting cylindrical structural components (1) such as electrolyte catalysts that have a bead in the area of the bottom (12).
