Abstract (en)
[origin: DE10012446A1] A package chamber(4) is supplied with a test fluid(5) which contacts the internal coating(3) flushes out traces of any other contents. The test fluid has one or more components which diffuse into the coating and are subsequently absorbed into the plastic wall(1). Test fluid adhering to the coating is then removed and an extraction medium(7), which dissolves the test fluid, is introduced into the chamber. Measurements are then made on the extraction medium to determine the levels of test fluid contained in it. An Independent claim is made for the process equipment which includes an intermittently moving conveyer running below successive processing stations. Packages with open tops are moved under each station, each of which has a fluid feed point and the final station has a fluid feed line which can be sealed onto the package opening.
