[origin: WO0173799A1] The invention relates to an electrical coil (10), comprising a coil body (11), at least one front flange (14) on the coil body (11), at least one retainer (16), for coil wiring (18) on the front flange (14) and a linguiform insulated contact (23), for connecting the coil wiring (18) in the retainer (16). Two crossed slots (21, 22) are arranged in the retainer (16) with differing depths. The coil wiring (18) is laid on the base of the slot (21) with least depth, whilst the linguiform insulated contact (23) is arranged in the slot (22) of greater depth. As the slot (21) of least depth is narrower in the region of the base thereof than the diameter of the coil wiring (18), said wiring is fixed in the retainer (16). The electrical coil (10) is suitable for use in solenoid valves.
