Abstract (en)
A cutting element for a cutting tool that is particularly resistant to premature wear through reverse rotation, comprises a matrix including support material and particles of abrasive material, characterised in that the particles comprise a mixture of natural and synthetic diamond. The proportion of natural diamond in the mixture ranges from around 2% up to around 70-80%. A preferred mixture contains approximately 40% natural diamond and approximately 60% synthetic diamond. <IMAGE>
