[origin: EP1270819A2] The railings, especially for road bridges, have an additional row of reinforcement profile sections (20) fitted to the railing uprights (11), at the height of an automobile or truck, using profiled sheet plates. The reinforcement profiles are fitted to the traffic side of the uprights by mountings. The ends of the profile sections are covered by end pieces (50).
