Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1270829A1] The operating mechanism for the discharge valve of a cistern has at least one push button (4,5) and at least one sliding presser unit. The presser unit has a presser head (12,17) to raise and lower a closure body (33) at the discharge valve (36), working with at least one twin-arm lever (19). The lever pivots on a swing axis (20,21), and is linked to the closure body. The presser head is in two parts, with one part (32) to lift the closure body and a second part (30) to lower it, in a swing movement on the presser head and working with the lever.
