[origin: EP1270852A2] A row (8) of holes (10) in the breast part of a shaft operate the pin-tumblers (17) of the locking cylinder. A thrust-piece (11') supports the key (2b) on the locking cylinder for aligning the holes opposite the pin-tumblers. An extra row (15) of holes (16) in the breast part of the shaft is staggered by a set amount in relation to the row of holes.
