Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1271590A1] The hybrid circuit breaker has an outer envelope (12) with a vacuum switch (10) and a gas filled (11) circuit breaker both with contacts (1,2), (3,4). A connection mechanism (13) moves longitudinally activating the first contact set. There is a movement mechanism connected to the connection mechanism displacing also the third and fourth contacts. Movement is by contact following a dead course region (D) which holds the circuit breaker under vacuum.
