[origin: EP1271695A1] The connector has at least one insulation-displacing terminal (11) formed from two limbs (17) defining a slot (15) for the cable. The slot has an entry region (19) defined by at least part of the cutting edges of the limbs. The entry region extends to a tapered pinching region (27) which is longer than the entry region. An end region (29) adjoins the pinching region and first widens, then tapers further to the end of the slot.
