[origin: WO0168285A1] The invention relates to a hemming unit (1) consisting of a frame (13), a tilting part (4), a sliding part (5), a hemming drive mechanism (6) and a hemming head (7) with one or more hemming tools (8, 9). Said hemming head (7) is located on the tilting part (4), which is pivotably (18) mounted and driven (17) on the sliding part (5). Said sliding part (5) is connected to the hemming drive mechanism (6) and has a slide (14) which is guided (15) on the frame (13) in such a way that it travels. The hemming drive mechanism (6) is also the positioning drive mechanism for the hemming tools (8, 9) and has a drive element (21) which is located between the frame (13) and the slide (14). The tilting part (4) has a tilting drive mechanism (17) comprising a driving element (21) which is flexibly connected to the slide (14) and the hemming head (7) at both ends.
