Abstract (en)

[origin: WO0178196A2] The invention relates to an electric plug-type connector part comprising compartments (4, 5) that each receive a contact element and comprising a locking element (6, 7), which can be slid in a transverse direction with regard to the longitudinal extension of the compartments (4, 5) and which is provided for locking the contact elements inside the compartments (4, 5). The inventive electric plug-type connector part (1) is characterized in that it comprises at least two separate socket housings (2, 3), which can be interconnected to form said plug-type connector part (1). A number of compartments (4, 5) that each receive a contact element are arranged in each socket housing, and each socket housing is provided with its own locking element (6, 7) for locking the contact elements inside the compartments (4, 5). The locking elements (6, 7) of the socket housings (2, 3) can be slid in the same direction and, after the socket housings (2, 3) are assembled to form the plug-type connector part (1), are arranged together in an interactive manner so that the locking motion of the outermost accessible locking element (7) is transferred to the other locking element(s) (6).
