Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1273528A1] The flexible closed capsule (1) contains a substance for the preparation of a drink to be extracted under pressure. It consists of a first (3) and second (4) circular sheets, welded on their periphery (5), containing a space (2) for the substance. The sheets are chosen from filter paper and a composite. The first sheet allows water at atmospheric pressure to pass through and the second sheet only allow the water to pass if a pressure of between 0.1 and 3 bar is attained during extraction from the capsule.
