Abstract (en)
[origin: DE10125449A1] The device for the handling of especially steel mats (1) made from steel rods (2) comprises a webbing strap (3) with a loop (6) at one end (4), whereby the strap is guided around one or more steel rods. The second end of the strap is guided through the loop of the first end to form a sling (8) encompassing or passing through the load. A locking element (9) is fastened to the webbing strap outside the sling and has an outside circumference which by a predetermined amount is greater than the inside circumference of the loop, whereby the locking element is removable from the strap only by the destruction of the strap and/or of the locking element. An Independent claim is included for a method for the handling of loads and especially steel mats.
