Abstract (en)
A fuse with two spaced apart power supply connections, consists of identical arrays of active portions comprising moldings and planar intermediate layer between moldings. <??>A fuse has two spaced-apart power supply connections and an active part which comprises a fusible current-carrying fuse element and an arc-extinguishing medium. The fuse element is of modular construction and has at least two first modules connected in series and is connected to the two power supply connection. The fuse element is arranged on an electrically insulating substrate in which the arc-extinguishing medium covers the exposed surfaces of the fuse element. The active part is formed as a sandwich and has two stable moldings, and has a predominantly planar intermediate layer arranged between the two moldings. The intermediate layer contains at least the two series-connected first modules. A first molding of the two moldings is formed at least by part of the electrically insulating substrate, and a second molding is formed at least in part by the arc-extinguishing medium.

Die Sicherung weist zwei voneinander beabstandete Stromanschlüsse (2, 3) und ein Aktivteil (1) auf. Das Aktivteil enthält ein schmelzbares, stromleitendes Sicherungselement und ein Lichtbogenlöschmittel. Das Sicherungselement ist elektrisch leitend mit den beiden Stromanschlüssen verbunden und ist auf einem elektrisch isolierenden Substrat angeordnet. Das Lichtbogenlöschmittel bedeckt die freiliegenden Flächen des Sicherungselements. Das Aktivteil ist nach Art eines Sandwich ausgebildet und weist zwei stabile Formkörper (4, 5) und eine zwischen den Formkörpern (4, 5) angeordnete vorwiegend plane Zwischenschicht (6) auf. Die Zwischenschicht (6) enthält zumindest einen Abschnitt des Sicherungselements, ein erster (4) beider Formkörper zumindest einen Teil des elektrisch isolierenden Substrats und der zweite Formkörper (5) zumindest einen Teil des Lichtbogenlöschmittels. Die Sicherung zeichnet sich durch einen einfachen Ausbau und durch eine günstige Auslösecharakteristik aus. <IMAGE>
