[origin: WO0224464A1] The invention relates to a jacket assembly for an impression cylinder, comprising a rigid inner jacket (20, 22) that can be fixated on the impression cylinder, and a thin-walled printing form jacket (10) that can be axially slipped onto the inner jacket and that is provided with the printing surface (16). The inner jacket (22) is provided with a compressible layer (24) on its outer periphery and the printing form jacket (10) is designed as a flexible film jacket (12) with a wall thickness of less than 0.5 mm on which the printing surface (16) is fastened. The inventive design allows for lower production, storage and replacement costs in the production of printing forms as compared to conventional jacket assemblies.
