Abstract (en)
[origin: WO02066265A1] The invention relates to a method for producing decorative paper by means of the following steps: resin and abrasionproof particles are applied to the decorative paper and fibres and/or balls are applied to the abrasionproof particles. In this way, decorative paper having aluminium oxide particles and/or silicon carbide particles on the decorative upper side, to which fibrous web embedded in a resin is applied, can be economically produced, said fibrous web consisting of fibres having a mean minimum length of at least 0.5 mm, preferably of at least 2 mm. The press used to compress the decorative paper onto a carrier plate in order to form a panel is thus protected from damage in an especially good and economical manner.
