Abstract (en)

[origin: WO0179629A1] The invention relates to a lock (10) for assembly in an opening in a thin wall (14), such as a sheet metal cabinet door, said lock comprising a housing (16). The lock is provided with a bearing for an actuating lever (24) on one end (20), a locking device (30) for the actuating lever (24) on the other end (26) and a fixing device such as a clamp clip therebetween. The housing (16) has a semi-spherical bearing surface (76) with a cylindrical bore extending therefrom (78). A partial ball-bearing (80) comprising a first socket (82) for a locking drive shaft (84) that projects through the cylindrical bore (78) and a second socket (86) for the actuating lever (24) is provided in the cylindrical bore. The two sockets (82, 86) allow the partial ball-bearing (80) to be pivoted in relation to the housing (16) and the actuating lever (24) to be pivoted in relation to the partial ball-bearing (80) about a respective perpendicular axis relative to the locking drive shaft (84) and to the extension of the lever.
