Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1275415A1] The respirator consists of a mask (10) with a regulator, connected to a source (30) of breathable gas and incorporating a buffer chamber (34) of sufficient volume for at least two successive breaths and an intake connected via a non-return valve (36) to a generator of oxygen enriched air that forms the gas source (30). The inlet line also incorporates a solenoid valve (38) that prevents the initial filling of the buffer chamber before the inlet pressure from the generator reaches a set level. The face mask has a pneumatic harness (14) actuated by a manually-operated valve, and the generator and non-return valve are actuated when the box containing the mask is opened.
