Abstract (en)

A drive system using separate motors (M) for each section of the process. The specification of each motor is determined by the particular needs of its corresponding rotating component such as the perforation rollers (3,4), the folding cylinders (18,34) or the longitudinal folders (24,38). The rotation angle tolerance range for each drive motor is compatible with the component and with that of the other motors. If any drive exceeds the predetermined tolerances a device (63) engages with the track (2,46) to operate a synchronised high-speed stop on all rotating parts. A warning signal is given and tolerance ranges are so dimensioned that no damage occurs to the machine.
