Abstract (en)
The washer drier has the wash treated by steam after the drainage of water to reduce creases. The washer drier can have a control circuit (10) to drain water from the drum (2) and apply steam. The steam treatment water is held at a temperature of at least forty degrees and at least seventy degrees. There can be a heater to heat the water in the tub and produce the steam.

Ein Wäschetrockner oder Waschautomat wird so ausgestaltet, dass nach dem Entzug des Wassers die Wäsche mit Dampf beaufschlagt wird. Es zeigt sich, dass hierdurch Knitter reduziert werden können, und zwar schon mit Dampfmengen, die im Vergleich zu der der Wäsche entzogenen Wassermenge gering sind. Auch kommt es zu einer Entkeimung von Wäsche, Trommel (2) und Bottich (3). <IMAGE>
