Abstract (en)

[origin: EP1275930A1] The safety igniter (5) for a pyrotechnic munition with a casing (1) containing a solid charge (4) comprises a solid block of a pentrite-based pyrotechnic or explosive compound in the shape of a cylinder with a diameter of 2-50 mm. The munition's pyrotechnic charge is an explosive or propellant charge. The igniter is near a plugged opening (3) and can be partly embedded in the main charge.
