Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1276081A2] Ticket comprises a support with a code, whereby the code comprises a base code and an extension code. The extension code, in the form of an alphanumeric sequence is added to the base code following completion of a sale. An Independent claim is made for method for generating a valid ticket whereby the ticket seller authorizes or validates the ticket by addition of an extension code to the base code on the ticket support. The invention also relates to a corresponding method and device for checking an inventive ticket with a base code and an extension validation code.
