[origin: WO0180803A1] The invention concerns a drive device for a wheel chair (32) equipped with rear wheels (36) and front wheels (38), said device comprising a frame (12), at least a drive wheel or track (16) and a steering wheel (18) at the front. The invention is characterised in that it comprises means (42) for securing the front wheels (38) of the wheelchair, arranged on each side of the frame (12), the wheel (16) located at the rear, having a smaller diameter so as to allow the wheelchair to pass above said wheel (16).
