[origin: WO0181084A1] The invention concerns a method for making an engraved plate for reproduction by hot marking, and the resulting engraved plate. The method consists in applying a silicone elastomer layer or the like on the metal plate, then in engraving the impression of the pattern to be reproduced in the silicone elastomer layer, using a laser engraving technique. The engraved plate comprises a metal plate (7) coated with a layer (6) of silicone elastomer or the like wherein is engraved the impression (61) of the pattern to be reproduced.
