[origin: WO0165572A3] A transformer core comprises at least one leg and at least one yoke part. Each of said legs has a cross-sectional shape that is multi-edged with more than four edges with intermediate corners. The core is made up of rings rolled from strips of constant width and the corners of the legs are positioned on an imaginary generalised circle deviating from a perfect circle. An inductor core, a transformer and an inductor are also provided.
