Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1277521A2] The cover tape (13) remains stationary while the slide is in movement and is raised off the housing opening in treatment by a slide-fitted lifter (16). The lifting device (16) includes rollers (16,17,20,21) spaced normal to the plane of the opening, and/or deflector surfaces for the tape (13). The tape itself is fixed at its ends to the housing (10) and fixed at one end to a tensioner. The slide (12) has lines (15) led through the housing opening for a slide-moved coating etc device, the lines led through the slide gap formed when the tape is raised. Robot(s) are fitted to the slide or other movable machine, each slide having its own tape lifter (16).
