[origin: EP1277688A2] A textile spinning assembly has a thread feed with a brush brake (R) ring (3) with numerous elastic bristles forming a brush ring (B) with first (A1) and second flanks. The first outer flank (A1) has a surrounding bristle support (S) supported only by the ring (3). The flank maximum deflection is to the bristle tips (6). <??>The support (S) diameter defines the brush (B) diameter (D). The brush centre axis in line with that (X) of the brush (B) ring. The support diameter (D) forms part of a parallel support surface (F) for the support element (S).
