Abstract (en)

[origin: WO0219955A1] The invention concerns an orthosis comprising a compressive tubular part (10), made of mesh or fabric, with variable cross-section shaped to suit the profile of a lower limb, and whereof the structure of the mesh or fabric is selected, on the basis of the perimeter dimensions of the lower limb, so as to apply thereon a substantially constant immobilising pressure over the height of the limb, of the order of 30 to 40 mm Hg. The tubular part extends from the foot to the root of the thigh and comprises a highly elastic extensible internal region (12), linked along two generatrices to an inextensible or hardly extensible external region (14). In the upper part is also provided a thigh sleeve (22) open along a generatrix and provided with adjustable closure means (24).
