Abstract (en)

[origin: EP1279454A1] The jig saw has a reciprocating rod (1) supporting the saw blade (2) and having a guide surface cooperating with a driven rotary body, for converting the rotary movement into a reciprocation movement. The parts of the guide surface in contact with the rotary body have a curved shape, e.g. corresponding to a polynome of the second order.
