[origin: EP1279635A2] The strip winding unit (10) winds a strip (12) of elastic material with precision and at high speed onto a spool (14). The unit has a belt feed device (24) with a traction tension regulator (26). The belt feed device can be adjusted in height to ensure that the strip is always fed in horizontally and at a tangent to the spool winding point (30).
