Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1279763A1] The assembly to clean a continuous belt, at a papermaking machine, has a jet (46) which directs a fluid stream at the moving belt. The fluid stream is water, under a pressure of 100-500 bar, at a temperature of 90-160 degrees C and especially 100-140 degrees C.. The water is supplied by a high pressure pump (12), and heated by a high pressure heat exchanger (14). A down pipe (42) has its lower end immersed in the condensation tank (40), to maintain the pressure in the vessel (16) of the heat exchanger which is lower, equal to or higher than the ambient atmospheric pressure.
