[origin: EP1279786A2] An electromagnetically powered lock is new. Lock (11) with internal housings positioned between movable latch plates (2) having closed and open positions, recesses to allow the entrance of check cams, an electromagnetic check mechanism (5), where the check cam is in an open position, with which the check mechanism is unpowered, and a locked position, with which the check mechanism is powered. The check mechanism is displaceable, if the recess is positioned in one closed cam course, by a free movement of the cam trains, if this is in the open or locked position, or secondly, by a movement of the latch plate locking to prevent movement of the cam trains.
