Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1279893A1] The headlight (10) has a lamp (12,16) within elliptical reflector (14) and a convergent lens (18). A first mask (24) with a profiled outer edge pivots about a transverse axis (A1) which is located at the base of the reflector and behind the lens. A second profiled mask (26) is located at the side of the first mask and pivots about a second transverse axis (A2). The masks are independently controlled by motors to vary the beam characteristics
