The device has a basically cylindrical housing containing a first or primary winding on an outer coil body, a second or secondary winding on an inner coil body and an elongated weakly magnetic core (18) with intermediate spaces, at least one filled with setting resin. A first positioning element (26) is mounted on the core and a second (27) on the inner coil body for centering the core with respect to the inner coil body.

Eine Stabspule (11) für Zündanlagen, insbesondere als Zündspule in Brennkraftmaschinen, ist so auszuführen, dass sie betriebssicher ist. Die Stabspule (11) weist einen zentral angeordneten Kern (18) auf, der in einem inneren Spulenkörper (16) angeordnet ist. An einem Endbereich (28) des Kerns (18) ist ein erstes Positionierungselement (26) und an einem gegenüberliegenden Boden (33) des inneren Spulenkörpers (16) ist ein zweites Positionierungselement (27) angebracht. Beide Positionierungselemente (26, 27) sind zur Zentrierung des Kerns (18) gegenüber dem inneren Spulenkörper (16) zueinander fügbar, so dass ein gleichmäßiger Zwischenraum (19) zwischen dem Kern (18) und dem inneren Spulenkörper (16), der eine Hochspannung führende zweite Wicklung (17) trägt, hergestellt ist. Eine derartige Stabspule (11) ist für die Verwendung in der Automobilindustrie vorgesehen. <IMAGE>
