[origin: EP1280236A1] System for connecting an electrical appliance, such as a lamp, to a supply cable (3) comprises a connector made up of two sections. The lower section (9) clips around the cable. The upper section (8) is attached to the lamp cable (6) and snap-fits into the lower section. A pin (16) attached to the stripped end (15) of the lamp cable passes through the insulation (1) into the supply cable.
