[origin: WO0183203A1] The invention relates to a baling press comprising a pressing stamp, which is guided inside a pressing chamber (28) in an essentially vertical manner, and comprising a shaft door (1) with which the pressing chamber (28) can be closed, whereby a filling shaft door (3) is provided in or on the shaft door (1), and at least one latching unit is provided for the shaft door (1) and the filling shaft door (3) respectively. According to the invention, an actuating device, which intermittently acts upon the latching unit (5) and which is provided for unlatching the same (5) in an at least partially automatic manner, is assigned to at least the latching unit (5) for the filling shaft door (3). The actuating device is a lifting cylinder (35), which acts upon a component of the latching unit (5), or is an electromotively operating drive unit (6) or a lever system, which acts upon a component of the latching unit (5) and which is actuated by the pressing stamp when returning into the starting position thereof. In addition, the invention comprises an advantageous feature, whereby for opening the filling shaft door (3), the latching unit (5) thereof can be coupled to another drive unit (6).
