[origin: WO0183227A1] The invention relates to a self-inking stamp with inking from the top. Said stamp comprises a bottom part (1) which can be placed on the surface to be stamped (1), a turning mechanism (10) for a printing plate support (11) which is situated in the bottom part and which can be moved back and forth between an ink pad (4) and a set-down frame (13) while turning; and a top, actuating part (2) which can be displaced in relation to the bottom part against the force of a spring; which surrounds the bottom part and which is connected to the bottom part by its side parts (2"), by a turning pin (11') of the printing plate support which passes through the narrow side walls of the bottom part in longitudinal holes (12). The top, actuating part has an essentially U-shaped body section (2') and a hood part (7) consisting of transparent material, which is pivotably connected to said body section. Said hood part covers a diagonal text-receiving surface (6) on the upper cross link of the body section and the open front end of the body section. The bottom part is open downwards from the ink pad holder (5) at its front end, this opening being covered by a transparent wall part (13') which projects upwards from the set-down frame, which can be connected to the bottom part by a spring-mounted snap-in connection (14', 14'').
