Abstract (en)
[origin: WO0185588A1] The invention relates to a device and method for tensioning a flat material web (T), which is to be conveyed, especially in a printing and dispensing device for labels. The device contains driving means (10) for advancing and reversing the flat material web (T), at least one advancing unit (50), and a least one braking unit (30) provided with a braking roller (36), which touches with the material web (T) and which can be driven by the driving means (10). The invention also provides that the driving means (10) comprise a drive motor (12), which is drive-connected to the advancing unit (50) and to the braking unit (30), and that the braking roller (36) of the braking unit (30) can be decoupled from the drive motor (12) in the advance direction (V) of the material web (T).
