[origin: WO0186123A1] The invention concerns an electromagnetic valve actuator comprising helical springs coaxially associated respectively with an actuator rod and a valve stem and which are supported on spring retainers having a central cavity with a spherical dome shape for receiving a ball-joint with matching spherical dome shape (38), wherein the spherical dome shape surface of the cavity of the spring retainer and/or the ball-joint is cut with radial grooves (44) separating segments (45) of the spherical dome to enable lubrication.
