[origin: EP1281650A1] The method involves using a first conveyor (10) to individually convey the articles (26) through a first conveying path (F1) with a curve portion (14). At the curve portion, the free edges (32) of successive articles are clamped by pairs by the grippers (40) of a gripper conveyor (42), and the articles are released from the transporting clamps (22) of the first conveyor.
