Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1282092A2] The sensing arrangement has an essentially cylindrical or angled base housing (4), a dome-shaped head part (2) arranged in front of the base housing and a surface mounted installation adapter (6) that fills the distance between the edge region of the head part and the wall or ceiling (18) of a room. The annular adapter encloses the base housing in shape-locking manner. A passive IR sensor with a lens (3) may be used to generate the necessary electrical signal in response to human presence.
