[origin: WO0187606A1] Inserting strips of printing material in printing presses requires fast and reliable connection or detachment of the strip of printing material and the means of insertion. The invention relates to a strip of printing material comprising an insertion tip which interacts with a driving element located on the means of insertion. The insertion tip is introduced between two surfaces which incline towards each other and are assigned to the driving element and a cylinder which is likewise situated between the surfaces. Said insertion tip is then clamped in a non-positive fit with the driving element by means of an opposite relative movement of the insertion tip and the driving element when the cylinder is displaced.
