Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0894758A1] The collator has a number of bins set in a closed loop above a collecting system which has a number of segments to collect the various sheets from the bins. The collected sheets are dropped into holders on a bottom conveyor from which they are taken for packing etc. The bins and the conveyors have servo motors whose relative speeds control the assembly of the material into each final unit. The system handles all types of folded sheet material e.g. newspapers, magazine, brochures and any inserts.
